Letter from the Principal
Dear Breaux Bridge Elementary Families,
I am excited to be a part of the tiger cub staff in my first year as principal at Breaux Bridge Elementary School. As has been repeated by many, this year will be different than any of my previous administrative school experiences. We are blessed to have an abundance of good kids that represent themselves, their families, our school, and this community positively. Our school is honored to be able to serve such a good community.
Our educational vision is; Breaux Bridge Elementary School enacts high expectations for student achievement through the equity of providing stakeholders with greater access to key resources to ensure all students are equally provided rigorous and engaging learning opportunities. In working to achieve this vision, Breaux Bridge Elementary School faculty's mission is to ensure rigorous and engaging learning opportunities, while creating environments that prioritize effective teaching and learning to accelerate achievement for all students.
This year also brings numerous changes. Families have the option to choose distance learning or be in person Monday – Friday. We have also included hand washing breaks, eating lunch/breakfast in the classroom, students receiving hand sanitizer while exiting the bus, mandatory wearing of masks, outside P.E., kids remain in static groups, and clear partitions set up inside of classrooms.
I will work with staff and students to analyze policies and practices to recognize areas that can be updated to improve the learning environment for teachers and students.
We are glad to have you and your family as a part of the Breaux Bridge Elementary family. With the help and cooperation of all stakeholders, this will be a great school year.
- Mrs. Navarre
